Welcome to
Bright I Productions

I enjoy creating unique and original websites. I have been designing and creating web content since 1996 using the full suite of Adobe/Macromedia products (DreamWeaver, Flash, Fireworks, etc.) as well as the latest tools and technology such as HTML5, jQuery, JSP, Eclipse, XML, etc.
I can also leverage my skills at producing "green-screened" web video, 3D elements, animation and scripting.

My résumé is now located on DaneRougeau.com but you can access it via this Resume link as well.

Launching my new Dark History site soon that will fully take advantage of HTML5 video, including H.264 - MP4 Video with fallback to Ogg Video(.ogv), and WebM Video.

The following seven samples are from my Flash and HTML work on the ShardRPG website.

In the "Gallery" sections of the Shard site, the nine postage-stamp sized image buttons, dynamically load the corresponding large image of the button clicked, from the server.

The next and back arrows multiply (through Action script coding) the number of images that are accessable from eighteen to thirty-six images.

The MP3 music files are also dynamicaly loaded off the server and use an XML-based playlist that rotates through the songs.

For the "Recent News" section on the ShardRPG website, I created a unique dynamic text and image updater.

Created a scrolling parchment with text that rolls under the scroll ends, using CSS (and DIV containers with OVERFLOW: hidden).

Also setup an entire Shopping Cart (click on Order Now to enter) system for the purchase and delivery of their online .PDF book.

On the Funky Zydeco website, I created a dynamic look of a brightly colored carnival ride in motion by applying several layers of motion blurs in Photoshop.

For the "Shows" section, I created a Flash-based text importer that listed the bands current gigs. To update the listing, all that was required is to modify and upload a standard .txt file.

For the CareCulture Mgt. Toolset demo site, I helped design the UI (User Interface), and produced the video (shot the green-screened video, and keyed the background in using Adobe After Effects).

I created the 3D animated buttons (using 3D Max) and had dynamically driven text accompanying the Flash Video clips.

For the CL Portal Site and QuickStart portal, I developed and coded (in ActionScript) a Flash Video player that played multiple clips either in sequential order, or in random and unique order . The player also read from a text file and dynamically built a clickable playlist" to launch video clips.

I also helped create JSP code that pulls up various Flash Video files, depending on the variables being passed and helped build a Flash-based vertical slider toolbox to feature new content on the front page of the side (now replaced with jQuery ).

The next five images are from Flash sites and product demos I did while working for Tivoli/IBM. The product demos made extensive use of voice-over audio and Flash animation.

I created visually-rich and engaging user interfaces with a high-tech look and feel.

This product demo used interactive Flash forms which passed variables to servers performing remote configuration of WAP devices (cell phones, etc).

For this part of the demo, I rendered out 3D Flash out of 3D Studio Max using the Swift3D plugin for Max.

Working for the UT Department of Curriculum & Instruction - Systemic Research Collaborative for Education in Math & Technology (SYRCE) I designed and created the SRYCE website using the golden ratio and illustrating math in nature.

Old Flash-based portfolio site from years ago.

The next five images are from my work at GreatOutdoors.com, a partnership between the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) and Cox Interactive Media (Austin360).
